Terms of Service
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These terms cover Lumio: the website at lumio-co.online, Lumio AI (Chat on the web, with images and videos made in chat), Lumio for Chrome, Lumio AI for iPhone and iPad, and Lumio plans. Lumio is run by Lantern AI (“we”). By creating an account or using Lumio, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You sign in with your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple), a Google account, or your email address and a password. Keep it secure: you’re responsible for what happens in your Lumio account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live) to use Lumio, and 18 or older to make images and videos (below).
If you use Lumio AI’s Chat without an account, some features, such as pictures and videos, files and dictation, need a free account, and we may ask you to create one to keep chatting. A chat you have without an account is deleted 24 hours after your last message, unless you create an account or sign in from that chat, which saves it to your account. These terms apply to you either way.
Plans and billing
- Lumio has a Free plan and paid monthly plans (Go, Pro, and Max in two sizes, 6× and 11×). Prices are shown on the site before you buy.
- Every plan works in Lumio AI, on the web and in Lumio for Chrome. A Go plan bought for Lumio Browser, which is retiring, works there; it can move to Lumio AI at no charge from your account, and what Go used that week carries over.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Charges appear on your card statement as “FIFTY SITES LUMIO”.
- You can change plans or cancel anytime from your account (Manage billing). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your plan until the end of the paid month.
- Payments aren’t refundable except where the law requires, or where we decide to refund at our discretion.
- Each plan includes a weekly usage allowance, shared by everything Lumio AI does for you: Chat, pictures and videos, and Lumio for Chrome’s Work. The allowance counts the last 7 days, so it refills gradually. One message can use only part of the week. Work, on Pro and Max, can also use only part of it for one task and in any 5 hours. When a limit is reached, those AI features pause until it frees up or you upgrade.
Using Lumio AI
- AI answers can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- With Work, Lumio for Chrome acts on web pages in your browser, in the tabs of its task’s Lumio tab group. It doesn’t control other apps or the rest of your computer.
- You choose how much Lumio can do without asking: in Ask mode it asks before it acts; in Auto, before it sends, posts, buys, pays or deletes anything. You’re responsible for the actions you approve and for the settings you choose.
- When you connect an app (a connector), Lumio uses it only when you ask, and changes something in it only after you confirm, unless you set that action to Always allow. You can disconnect it anytime.
- Don’t use Lumio to break the law, harm others, send spam, get around security, or misuse other websites or services.
Code
Code (Pro and Max) proposes changes to a GitHub repository you choose and opens a pull request when you say so. Use it only with repositories you’re allowed to change, and follow GitHub’s terms. Review every change before you merge it: AI models make mistakes, and Lumio doesn’t run your code or tests. Pushing Lumio’s branch can start your repository’s own automations (like GitHub Actions workflows), as any push does. You’re responsible for what you merge.
Images and videos
Lumio AI makes pictures and videos from your descriptions right in chat, and keeps them in Images and Videos.
- Age. Making images and videos is for people 18 and older. By using it, you confirm you are.
- Plans. Pictures are on every plan, Free included; videos only on paid plans (Go and up). Each creation uses your weekly allowance. In Videos, a video shows about how much it will use before it starts; one you ask for in chat starts right away. The charge is what the model’s provider billed, which can be lower than shown. Requests the model refuses or fails to make aren’t charged.
- Acceptable use. Don’t use Lumio AI to make or share:
- anything illegal;
- sexual content involving minors (we report it to the authorities where the law requires);
- sexual or intimate images of a real person without their consent;
- content that impersonates a real person, or deepfakes meant to deceive, without that person’s consent;
- content that infringes someone’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- harassment, threats or hateful content.
- Enforcement. We may refuse requests, remove creations and suspend accounts that break these rules.
- Your creations. You’re responsible for your prompts, the pictures you upload (you need the right to use them) and how you use what you create. As between you and Lantern AI, you own your prompts and creations to the extent the law allows, subject to the model providers’ terms. AI-made pictures and videos can be wrong or look real; don’t present them as real events. Some providers add a watermark or a hidden marker.
- Storage. Creations are stored until you delete them. Deleting your account deletes them.
Lumio Browser
Lumio Browser is retiring. From its retirement date, its AI and connected apps stop working, and Lumio AI carries on, on the web and in Lumio for Chrome. Until then, its AI features use your Lumio plan.
Changes and ending
We may update Lumio and these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know on the site before it applies. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. You can stop using Lumio anytime.
No warranty
Lumio is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
